Today they are paving my road. After 12 years of living here, and moving in with a dirt road, I now have pavement. Am I happy? Well, not really. You see, having large enough holes to swallow cars has its merits. For one thing, people tend to drive slower, knowing they might be on the other side of the Earth in less than one second. (You know the sayings about digging your way to China/Australia, etc…) And now there will be a freeway. People will take chances on my ultra-narrow road, trying to pass others who are going the speed limit, or worse yet, slowing down for a deer or bear. And I have 100 year old maple and fir trees along the road. How did “they” sign up for this?
So in keeping with trying my best not to think to much of the outcome, I’ve decided to get busy on my computer work. After all, I won’t be able to get out of my driveway until tomorrow morning. Following blogs, posting emails, and working (of course!) on my Etsy stuff. And I came up with some cute ideas. So follow along today. I’m not sure how many blog posts I’ll do; maybe just combine all of them into one, but at least you’ll see what’s new in Aunt Mayme’s Attic.
