Hello world!

I started this blog to direct people to my Etsy shop, auntmaymesattic (http://www.etsy.com/shop/AuntMaymesAttic?ref=search_shop_redirect )  I have been a favorite of embroidered niceties since I was very young.  Recently, I discovered that I enjoy repurposing vintage pieces such as dresser scarves and table runners, to send back into the Universe for others to enjoy.  And it is hoped you will like them too.

I love the pieces I recently received thru Etsy. It was my first adventure into shopping thru this medium . I love the whole concept of vintage items. It is, in fact, the time from which I came. I love reclaiming the old things that we grew up with and continue to hold dear. Thank you for the lovely gift. It is so special and will be treated with much love and tenderness. I would be interested in purchasing more items, for self and gifts, but I do not have a website or address. Do you have a catalog, website or some way that I may view the items you offer? Thank you again for your care of things past and holding on to our cherished memories.

Thank you so much, Shirle, for your interest. You and I are kindred spirits of sorts, and that’s the reason why I started my shop–to share those things from way back when in a new and meaningful way for those who understand their beauty. I started the blog to drive people to Etsy; sort of backwards, I know, but I’m more Etsy savvy than blog savvy; which isn’t saying much in either case. LOL What you can do to follow me is to go to Etsy’s website, http://www.etsy.com, search for my shop, auntmaymesattic, and “favorite” it by clicking on the Favorite button in the far right corner. That way, any time I add something, you will be notified.

I sometimes have sales, as much as 25% off by using a coupon code, so keep watch. I have lots more stuff in my head to repurpose; if only I can get all the time to do so!
